A message from Jack Wagner '74, President of The Alumni Association of NJIT

The past months on the NJIT campus have been the most interesting I have ever seen since walking onto the campus as a freshman in 1970.  We started off this year under a heavy blanket of snow that never seemed to end.   However, a spark was lit on campus back in December when the Men’s Basketball Team beat Michigan, and that spark continued to burn through the winter.  The level of energy, excitement and sometimes all out frenzy was seen on a daily basis at NJIT.  The basketball team was invited for the first time ever into post season play in the CIT playoffs.  The fencing, volleyball teams, and swimming team have had unbelievable seasons.   The new lacrosse team finished its first season and is excited to get back in the hunt next season with a year of experience under its belt.   That spark that was lit in December turned into a bonfire in June when NJIT was invited to join the Atlantic Sun Conference.
